The king of wings has arrived at Mall of America! Buffalo Wild Wings is now part of the South Street Dining area. Grand Opening was held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11am. Mall of America is the #1 tourist destination in the United States.

Firefighters said it started as a grease fire at Heidi's Minneapolis, a restaurant in the building on 50th Street South and Bryant Avenue.

Crews said a hood system above the stove initially put out the flames, so they thought it was OK, but the fire got into the duct work.

Two firefighters were hurt while fighting the flames. One was cut with glass and the other was hit with debris from the ceiling.

It appears unlikely that a building at 50th Street South and Bryant Avenue in south Minneapolis can be saved from the wrecking ball.

Fire swept through the building Thursday. It was home to five small businesses including Patina, Heidi's restaurant and the Blackbird Cafe.

Friday investigators and insurance adjustors were still poking through what's left.

On Jan. 1, a new ordinance took effect requiring restaurants to clean and photograph the grease hoods and vents over kitchen stoves.
